About this tour
A short loop through the hills for visitors with limited time. You are met at Bandaranaike International Airport, drive to Kandy for the Temple of the Tooth, climb through tea country to Nuwara Eliya, and return to the airport by way of Kitulgala. If you have more time, ask us about the longer tours.
ℹ️ Day 3 is a long drive. A late-evening flight works best, so please tell us your flight time when you ask for a quote.

Day 1: Airport to Kandy
Meet your driver at Bandaranaike International Airport and drive to Kandy, with optional stops along the way. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic for the ceremony.

Day 2: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens at Peradeniya, then drive up through tea country to Nuwara Eliya. Stop at a tea factory, and walk by Gregory Lake or Victoria Park.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya to the airport via Kitulgala
Visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens or a tea estate in the morning. Drive down to Kitulgala for optional white-water rafting or a short forest walk, then continue to the airport.

Yes. Your driver meets you at the airport on day 1 and takes you back for your flight on the last day. Send us your flight details when you book.
What is included in the price?
The price includes the vehicle, fuel, an English-speaking driver, the driver's accommodation, highway tolls and parking. Entrance and safari fees, and your own hotels and meals, are not included.
Can you help with hotels?
Hotels are booked separately and are not included in the price. Tell us your budget and preferences, and we will suggest suitable places along the route.
